Painted Plate 1

Ancient painted pottery has a history of more than 7000 years. In place of written language, ancient potters recorded their observations of nature on their pottery using painted lines, circles and geometrical forms. I try to recreate a more colorful and useful form of painted pottery by using modern firing techniques.
